A 69-year-old Cedarhurst man has been charged with forcibly touching a teenage girl walking past his home earlier this month, Nassau County police said Thursday.

Authorities said Jaime Martinez waved the 15-year-old over to his front porch on Grove Avenue around 1 p.m. on June 11. The victim walked over to Martinez and sat next to him. Then, Martinez placed his hand on the 15-year-old’s thigh and tried to raise her skirt, police said.

Martinez kept his hand on the victim’s thigh and kissed her on the mouth, police said.

The victim and her parents notified police and Martinez was arrested at his home on Monday and charged with two counts of forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child.

Martinez was arraigned Tuesday in First District Court in Hempstead, where Judge Paul Meli set bail at $5,000 bond or $2,500 cash. Meli also granted a stay away order of protection.

The

identity of Martinez’s lawyer was not known.
