A Medford man was arrested after he called the Nassau County police Seventh Precinct Wednesday morning and said “he wanted to blow up the precinct and a courthouse,” police said.

Adam Frino, 38, of Paddock Lane, was arraigned Thursday in First District Court in Hempstead on a charge of falsely reporting an incident and ordered held on $35,000 cash bail or bond, according to court records. He is due back in court Monday.

Police said the call to the Seventh Precinct by Frino was made at 6:53 a.m. and said that immediately after making the threat the suspect hung up the phone. An investigation by detectives led to the arrest of Frino at his home, police said.

Additional details were not immediately available.
