A 911 call about a girl on a residential street with “blood on her” led police to investigate a possible stabbing at a St. James house on Wednesday night, authorities said.

The girl was found on Mills Pond Road about 8:40 p.m., and Fourth Precinct officers who responded determined she was not hurt, police said,

But they pieced together part of what happened and went to another home on the same street, where they found one person injured, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital, police said.

Details on what happened and whether anyone was arrested were not immediately available late Wednesday night as detectives gathered information at the scene.
