A special Suffolk County drug task force said it arrested two men on drug charges and seized cocaine and marijuana in a Monday raid on a Flanders house.
Law enforcement personnel from several departments executed a search warrant at the Priscilla Avenue house as part of a continuing investigation of drug sales on the East End, according to a news release.
In addition to seizing the drugs, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s East End Drug Task Force said Eric Ross, 24, a resident of the house, and Roger Foster Jr., 19, of Donna Drive in Baiting Hollow, face drug charges.
Also recovered in the raid were scales, packaging material, cash and a loaded .38 caliber handgun, officials said.
Ross is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of drug paraphernalia and criminal possession of marijuana.
Foster is charged with unlawful possession of marijuana; he was released on an appearance ticket.
Ross pleaded not guilty at his arraignment Tuesday at Southampton Town Justice Court and was held on a bail of $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond.
He is due back in court on Sept. 30.
The East End Drug Task Force is funded by the office of the Suffolk County district attorney and includes investigators from that office, plus detectives, officers and personnel from State Police, Suffolk County police, the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office, the Suffolk County Department of Probation, Southampton Town Police, Riverhead Police, East Hampton Town Police, Southampton Village Police, Southold Town Police, the Drug Enforcement Administration and Homeland Security.
