Drunken driver sped over 110 mph on LIE, Nassau police say

A Deer Park woman was arrested after, police said, she drove drunk in excess of 110 mph early Wednesday on the Long Island Expressway.

Nassau police said Katie Hodgson, 18, was seen speeding in her 2016 Honda Accord and “making multiple unsafe lane changes without signaling” at 1:05 a.m. between Exit 44 in Syosset and Exit 48 in Plainview.

She came close to striking a truck before she was pulled over by a highway patrol officer, police said.

During the stop, the officer found her to be intoxicated and also found her in possession of two fraudulent driver’s licenses from Pennsylvania, both in her name, police said.

She is charged with reckless endangerment, possession of a forged instrument, reckless driving, driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, and multiple vehicle and traffic violations, police said.

She was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
