The robber wore flip-flops.

Now, Nassau County police are asking for your assistance in identifying — and, locating — the flip-flop wearing suspect, who they said robbed a North Massapequa gas station on Aug. 6.

The robbery occurred at the BP station on Broadway at about 11:50 p.m. Police said the suspect “displayed a weapon,” but did not say what type of weapon was shown. During the robbery, the suspect took $300 from the station register, then fled.

Surveillance footage shows the man wearing a hooded jacket, shorts, a bandanna covering his face — and flip-flops.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
