Four men face charges after police held a check of alcohol sales to minors at several stores in Babylon Town, Suffolk police said.
Holbrook resident Abdul Razzaq, 56, an employee of Flame Grocery on Oak Street in Copiague; Flushing resident John Gao, 28, who works at the Citgo gas station on West Hoffman Avenue in Lindenhurst; and East Meadow resident Saqib Lal, 24, who works at BP Gas on North Wellwood Avenue in North Lindenhurst, all were arrested Wednesday and charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child and prohibited sale to a person under 21.
Flame Grocery owner Iqbal Gulkhez, 31, of Central Islip, also was arrested Wednesday and charged with alcohol consumption on premise without a license, police said.
The four men will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date, police said.
Police said they made the arrests after holding a series of state liquor authority inspections Wednesday at 11 businesses in Babylon Town.
