Cops: Reward offered in St. James gas station robbery

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest of a trio who robbed a St. James gas station at gunpoint last week, police said.

Three men robbed the Shell at 560 Middle Country Rd. shortly after midnight Oct. 9, Suffolk police said.

One of the men displayed a gun. The employee working at the time was not hurt, police said.

Fourth Squad detectives are investigating.

Anyone with information about the robbery is urged to submit an anonymous tip to Crime Stoppers by calling 800-220-TIPS, texting “SCPD” and your message to “CRIMES” (274637), or going online at tipsubmit.com.

Any communication will be kept confidential, police said.
