The NYPD said Thursday it is investigating the shooting death of a Hempstead man found with a gunshot wound to his head on a Flushing street.
Police responded at 11:58 p.m. Wednesday to a 911 call for a man shot at 35th Avenue and Farrington Street in the 109th Precinct.
When they arrived, they found Richard Brown, 50, of Cathedral Avenue, shot in the head, according to NYPD.
Brown was taken to New York Hospital Queens, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said no arrests have been made, but the motive appears to be drug related, said a police official, adding that Brown had 30 previous arrests for drug offenses.
