Hicksville home burglarized, police say

Nassau County police said they are trying to determine who burglarized a Hicksville residence Tuesday, making off with cash, jewelry and designer handbags.

The house on Liszt Street was broken into sometime between 11:45 a.m. and 8:15 p.m., police said in a news release.

The homeowner told police that an unknown person or persons broke in and took the items, including an unspecified amount of cash.
