Inwood shooting caught on surveillance video, police say

Fourth Squad detectives are looking for two people, including one of whom fired shots into another group of people in Inwood, Nassau County police said Wednesday.

The shots were fired just after midnight July 21 at an apartment complex on Bayview Avenue, police said.

Police said officers responded to call from the complex about possible shots fired in a courtyard area, but when they arrived they couldn’t find any victims, witnesses or property damage, according to a news release.

On Monday, the property manager for the complex provided police with a video that shows two people, including one with a handgun, shooting toward a group of people before fleeing.

Anyone with more information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All information will be kept confidential.
