A ride service driver has been arrested on charges he sexually abused a passenger early Sunday morning in Central Islip, Suffolk police said.

Hussein Saleh, a driver for Lyft, was charged with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse.

At Saleh's arraignment Monday in First District Court in Central Islip, his case was adjourned until Friday with a temporary restraining order against him in place and bail set at $50,000 bond or $25,000 cash, according to court records.

Saleh, 36, of Woodmont Place in Farmingville, picked up two women early Sunday morning in Patchogue and abused the front-seat passenger during the drive, police said. Police did not describe the abuse.

One of the women called 911 from the vehicle and police responded at 3 a.m.

Saleh is being represented by Suffolk County Legal Aid.
