Two Malverne men have been arrested in a burglary that took place last month in Valley Stream, Nassau County police said.
Raymond Buckridge, 32, of Orbach Avenue, and Michael Kelly, 46, of King Street, were both arrested Monday in front of Kelly’s home, police said. Buckridge was charged with second-degree burglary, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and tampering with physical evidence. Kelly was charged with second-degree burglary and with a previous warrant for the failure to yield to pedestrian right of way at a crossing, police said.
The burglary took place at a home on Molyneaux Road just after 8:30 a.m. Jan. 20, police said.
Police said the two men entered the home, stealing jewelry, then fled the scene. During the burglary, police said, Kelly cut himself on the glass — and his DNA was later recovered.
Buckridge pawned some of the jewelry hours after the burglary and he was identified by the pawnshop owner, police said.
Both suspects are scheduled for arraignment Tuesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
