A Lindenhurst man charged with manslaughter in the fatal stabbing of a man during a wedding party in Copiague on Saturday night was ordered held on $3 million bond or $1 million cash bail at his arraignment Monday, according to Suffolk County police and court records.

Jose Collado-Nunez, 29, was charged with first-degree manslaughter Sunday in the death of Anyelo Rosario, 28, of Copiague, police said.

The bail was set during Collado-Nunez’s arraignment in First District Court in Central Islip. His next court date was set for Friday.

Rosario was stabbed at about 8:20 p.m. after he and Collado-Nunez became involved in an altercation at a residence on Amerigo Vespucci Avenue, according to police.

Rosario was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead. Collado-Nunez was also taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries, police said.

The sister of the bride, Katherine Reyes, told News 12 Long Island that Rosario was the bride’s cousin’s boyfriend.

The bride is “really upset, like she’s more upset for our cousin — she lost her boyfriend,” Reyes said. “She was telling me like now the day of her wedding she has to remember the day Anyelo died.”

Police Commissioner Timothy Sini told News 12 that “the perpetrator was certainly drinking” and stabbed the victim “in the chest.”
