A man has been arrested and charged with robbing a bank in Port Jefferson Station earlier this month, police said.
Michael Dublar, 33, who is homeless, was arrested Wednesday and charged with third-degree robbery, as well as with unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.
Suffolk County police said Dublar also had an outstanding warrant from the Town of Islip. He now faces arraignment on July 31 in First District Court in Central Islip.
Police said Dublar robbed the TD Bank at 86 Nesconset Hwy. at 11:15 a.m. on July 3 by passing the teller a note demanding the money. Police said the teller gave Dublar cash, and he fled on foot.
In the aftermath, police asked anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers or the major case unit, but it was not immediately clear if such information led to the arrest.
