Man beaten, hospitalized in Freeport, Nassau police say

A man was beaten up Sunday afternoon in Freeport and taken to the hospital with serious injuries, Nassau police said.

The victim, 42, was found near 146 Main St. and told authorities two males attacked him behind 124 Main St. about 2:55 p.m., police said. He did not have details on his attackers’ description, police said.

The victim sustained head and face injuries and was admitted to a hospital, police said.

Detectives said anyone with information can call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477.
