A Mineola man who police said made $62,000 in unauthorized charges to his company credit cards surrendered to authorities Wednesday.

Bobby Juarbe, 30, of Harrison Avenue, was arraigned Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead on two counts of grand larceny in the third degree and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in court May 4.

Police said he was issued two American Express credit cards by his employer, Safe Banking System, also in Mineola.

His theft was exposed after he left the company in April 2015, and it conducted an internal review, police said.

Juarbe worked for the company from May 2008 to April 2015. He surrendered to Nassau police on Wednesday at 7:10 a.m.
