A homeless man was charged Monday morning after he broke into a Woodmere home and stole two bottles of Scotch, Nassau County police said.

The man, Guoguang Lin, 35, got into the West Broadway home through an unlocked rear window just before 7:30 a.m., police said.

A witness reported seeing Lin inside the unoccupied home and called police, who found him in the back of the house and arrested him, according to police.

Lin, who has no known address, had taken two bottles of Scotch, but it remained unclear if he had taken anything else, police said.

He was charged with second-degree burglary and was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
