A man held up a credit union in Oceanside Monday and escaped with cash, Nassau police said.
Detectives are asking for the public’s help to find the robber, who passed a demand note to a teller at the Ocean Financial Federal Credit Union on Atlantic Avenue at about 12:40 p.m., police said.
He took off on foot, heading toward Kenneth Place, police said. No injuries were reported, police said.
The robber appeared to be in his 30s, about 5 feet, 11 inches, with a medium build, authorities said. He wore a blue hooded jacket, black knit hat and clear-lensed eyeglasses, officials said.
Detectives request that anyone with information call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.
