Nassau cops seek help finding man who groped girl in Great Neck

Nassau police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who they said inappropriately touched a 15-year-old girl in Great Neck.

The suspect was mowing a vacant lot on Forest Row about 2:40 p.m. Thursday when he went next door and forcibly touched the victim, who was waiting outside her home for her parents to return, police said.

The man said his name was Jose, and when the teenager ordered him to stop, he walked away, police said.

The suspect appeared to be about 50 years old, 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 160 pounds, police said. He wore a blue shirt, jeans and a New York Rangers baseball cap, police said.

Detectives ask anyone with information about the incident to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.
