Who was driving the stolen 2008 Chevrolet TrailBlazer that struck and killed a Lindenhurst man in a hit-and-run accident on Brefni Street in December? That’s what police want to know.

Suffolk County police are asking anyone with information about the crash — and the driver who struck and killed Reginald Celifie, 32, on the North Amityville street on Dec. 15 — to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477.

All calls will remain confidential and callers are eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.

Police said the crash occurred at about 6:20 p.m.

Celifie was driving a 1995 Honda Civic eastbound on Brefni, police said, when he was struck by the TrailBlazer at Geraldine Avenue. The other driver fled and an investigation revealed the TrailBlazer had been reported stolen on Dec. 8.

After the crash, Celifie was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead.
