An Oceanside man, caught on surveillance footage robbing a Great Neck Plaza bank in December, surrendered to police Monday morning and was charged in the robbery, police said.

Nassau County police said detectives are still seeking an accomplice who drove the getaway car.

Jay Teich, 47, of Elizabeth Avenue, surrendered to detectives at 10 a.m. and was charged with third-degree robbery in the robbery at the Capital One bank branch on Middle Neck Road, police said.

He is scheduled for arraignment Monday in First District Court in Hempstead.

Police said the robbery occurred at 1 p.m. on Dec. 6 and said Teich is the person seen in a photograph from the bank surveillance system.

Police said Teich entered the bank, approached the 22-year-old female teller — and demanded cash. She complied.

Teich then fled to a waiting BMW described by police as either blue or black and the car fled.

There were five employees and a customer in the bank when it was robbed. There were no injuries.

Police did not say if the arrest of the driver was imminent, but said the investigation is continuing.
