Tips about a drunken driving mom led to the arrest of a Hampton Bays woman Wednesday as she went to pick up her child at school, police said.
Danielle Cordone, 41, was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated and with drinking an alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle.
She was arraigned Thursday in Southampton Town Justice Court — and was released on her own recognizance, Southampton Town police said.
Police said Cordone was arrested by officers from the town police Community Response Unit after “several tips” came into police about Cordone “possibly picking her child up from school intoxicated.”
Officers located Cordone, found she was intoxicated, and made the arrest. Her child was not in the vehicle.
