Police looking for man who robbed Chase Bank in Hempstead

Nassau County police are looking for a man who robbed a bank in Hempstead on Saturday, police said.

The robber entered the Chase bank branch on Fulton Avenue just after 1 p.m., approached one of the tellers and handed over a note demanding cash, police said. The robber was given an undisclosed amount of cash and ran out, police said.

Police said the robber is in his late 20s to early 30s, 5-feet-10-inches to 5-feet-11-inches tall with a thin build. He wore a gray long sleeve hooded sweatshirt and a black and red baseball cap, police said.

No one was hurt during the robbery, police said.
