Police seek public’s help in probe of Roland Cruz’s homicide

He was stabbed to death outside a Hempstead bar early Sunday morning, Nassau County police said.

Now, police are asking for help in locating the suspects wanted in connection with the slaying of Roland Cruz.

Police said Cruz, 39, of Freeport, was involved in a verbal dispute with three men and then was stabbed multiple times outside El Nuevo bar on Fulton Avenue at about 1:10 a.m. on Sunday.

Cruz was transported to a hospital and was pronounced dead at 1:35 a.m.

Police have not released a description of the suspects.

They are asking anyone with information regarding the slaying to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS or the Nassau police Homicide Squad at 516-573-7788.

All calls will remain confidential and callers are eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 for any information leading to an arrest in the case.
