Police are searching for two drivers who left the scene of a fatal hit-and-run earlier this month on Route 112 in Patchogue.

Suffolk County police said Wednesday that four cars struck the victim, Joseph G. Orlando. Two stopped, while the others fled.

The fatal accident occurred as Orlando, 64, of Riverhead, attempted to cross Route 112 at about 3 a.m. on Dec. 5.

Investigators have determined that the two cars that struck Orlando and fled are a dark-colored 2011-15 Hyundai Elantra and a 2000-2007 white Ford Taurus. Each suffered possible front-end damage and possible damage to the undercarriage.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential and callers are eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case.
