A cash reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information in the slaying of a man found on a Roosevelt street Wednesday afternoon, police said.

Police on Friday identified the victim as Royston Hall, 37, of Roosevelt.

Hall was shot about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday on Wagner Avenue, police said in a news release. Officers responded to a 911 call for a man shot and found Hall, who was then taken to a hospital and died about an hour later, police said. No other injuries were reported.

Detectives scoured the scene Wednesday collecting evidence and were seen going in and out of a house that had been empty for a few months with a for-sale sign, a neighbor told Newsday at the time.

The neighbor said she saw police examine a house window and start up an SUV that had been parked in front of the house since Tuesday night before tying yellow crime-scene tape to its door.

Homicide squad detectives are asking anyone with information regarding the shooting and the identity of anyone involved to anonymously call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS, or call detectives at 516-573-7788.
