Gunfire hits Luigi’s Pizzeria in Mineola, Nassau police say

Nassau County police said officers responding to a report of shots fired Wednesday morning in Mineola found several shell casings and the shattered windows of a pizza shop.

The casings were found inside Luigi’s Pizzeria on Jericho Turnpike and in the parking lot next to the shop, police said.

The shots were reported at 12:28 a.m., police said, and there were no reported injuries.

Detectives asked anyone with information about the shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477.
