Suffolk County police were investigating two shootings in Huntington Station Saturday night, including one in which a man was shot in the foot at the Long Island Rail Road commuter parking lot.

In the first shooting, which happened about 8 p.m. at the train station, police said Jose Jurado, 20, of Huntington Station was walking through the parking lot when a man stepped out of a vehicle and shot him in the foot.

Jurado fled and made his way to a 7-Eleven on New York Avenue, where someone called police. Jurado was taken by ambulance to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, where he was listed in stable condition.

In the second shooting, police said Jose Campos, 53, and a friend were standing in the driveway of a residence on East 6th Street about 10:15 p.m. when shots were fired in the direction of the house.

Several bullets struck the house and other bullets hit a vehicle in the driveway next door. An 8-year-old child sleeping in the back of the vehicle at the time was not injured.

Detectives said anyone with information about either case could call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477.
