Suffolk County officials have renewed their call for the public’s help in finding the driver of the vehicle that struck and killed a pedestrian in Setauket nearly four years ago.

Joseph Santiago, 47, a Setauket resident, was hit as he walked west on Ridgeway Avenue about 1:20 a.m. on Aug. 23, 2013, according to police.

The vehicle involved in the crash was a white 1999 to 2006 Hyundai sedan that possibly sustained damage to the front-end on the passenger side and/or undercarriage, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers said Thursday it is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest.

Anyone with information on the case was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477. All information will be kept confidential.
