Teenager’s iPhone taken by 2 teens in Massapequa, cops say

A teenager was robbed of his iPhone and cash by two teens in Massapequa after they hung out together for hours Aug. 6, Nassau County police said Thursday in asking for the public’s help.

The suspects hit the victim, 16, on Melrose Avenue near Oakley Street, and after he fell, they brandished a handgun, taking his phone and cash from his pockets, police said.

The teen robbers ordered the victim to walk away, police said.

Police released surveillance images of the two suspects, both in their midteens, from a store where they tried to make purchases earlier.

No injuries were reported.

Seventh Precinct detectives said anyone with information could call 516-573-6756.
