Third man arrested in theft of two quads, police say

The third suspect in the theft of two quads from a construction company in Manorville in December has been arrested, Riverhead police said.

Dylan McCabe, 19, of Mastic, was arrested Friday. His co-defendants Frederick Carrozza, 17, of Eastport and Jeffrey T. Meehan, 18, of Mastic were arrested on previous occasions but they have all been charged with third-degree burglary in the Dec. 12 heist of a 2006 Yamaha Blaster and 2008 Kawasaki 450 from R&R Construction.

Police arrived at the location at 282 Line Rd. and determined that someone had cut a hole in the fence of the property and broken a window to get into the building and steal the two quads, police said. Detectives identified the suspects and conducted an investigation that led to the three arrests.

Only one of the quads has been recovered, police said.

It was unclear when McCabe would be arraigned on the charges and his attorney could not be reached for comment.
