Two people have been arrested in connection with the burglary of a Flower Hill home early Friday, Nassau police said.
Arsati Urbina, 20, of Mineola, and Dylan Silber, 17, of East Williston, were each charged with second-degree burglary, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, and unlawful possession of marijuana, police said.
Urbina faces an additional charge of fourth-degree possession of stolen property.
Police said the suspects entered the home on Hunters Lane at 2:50 a.m. through an open garage door. A woman, 61, who was inside the home, heard a commotion and woke up her son, 28.
The son chased after the suspects, who fled with cash, jewelry and other items, police said.
Urbina and Silber were discovered two hours later on Charles Street in Mineola by police officers as the pair walked up and down driveways, looking into vehicles with a flashlight.
Urbina and Silber were arraigned Saturday in First District Court in Hempstead, police said.
Bail for both defendants was set at $20,000 bond or $10,000 cash, but neither posted. They are due back in court Tuesday.
