Two men robbed, beaten in Uniondale, Nassau police say

Authorities are investigating the robbery and beating of two men Saturday night in Uniondale, Nassau police said.

According to First Squad detectives, the robbery occurred at 9:35 p.m. when the victims, ages 30 and 36, were near Jerusalem Avenue.

Six males approached the victims, police said. One of the victims was struck on the head with a beer bottle before the suspects began beating both men, police said. The six suspects then took an undetermined amount of cash from the victims and fled the scene in different directions, police said.

Police said both victims refused medical attention.
