Two men shot, wounded in Calverton, Suffolk police say

Suffolk County police said they are investigating the shooting early Sunday of two men in a Calverton apartment complex.

A call came into police at 2 a.m. reporting the shooting of the victims in the parking lot of the Calverton Hills apartment complex on Hill Circle, authorities said.

One unidentified victim, 35, was shot in the chest, abdomen and wrist. He was transported via Suffolk police helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital, police said.

The other unidentified victim, 22, was shot in the abdomen and taken by car to Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead before being transported by ambulance to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore, police said.

Both are in stable condition, police said, and no arrests have been made although the investigation is ongoing.
