Nassau County police, still searching for two men who bound and robbed a man and woman in Valley Stream on Feb. 1, have now released a photo of the sport utility vehicle the suspects were driving.

The 34-year-old male victim was leaving his home on East Hawthorne Avenue about 7:10 a.m. when the two men, who police believe knew the victim, approached him.

One of the men took $3,400 from the male victim and the other, armed with an assault rifle, forced the victim inside the house.

The man and a 36-year-old woman in the house were bound while the two men ransacked the house. One of the intruders sexually assaulted the woman. The suspects took money, jewelry and other personal items before fleeing southbound on Rockaway Avenue and westbound on Sunrise Highway in a light-colored Chevrolet TrailBlazer.

The photo police released shows the vehicle, which is an older model.

Police said one suspect was described as being 6 feet tall with a slim build and wearing black clothing and boots. The second man was about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a medium build wearing black clothing and a face mask.

Police ask anyone with information to call Nassau Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential. A reward of up to $5,000 is available.
