A Brooklyn woman stopped Sunday night for doing 95 mph on the Southern State Parkway — with three young, unbelted children in her Toyota Camry — was arrested after state police said troopers found her in possession of “several” forged driver’s licenses, as well as forged credit cards.
Police said the traffic stop occurred on the westbound parkway near Exit 28, the Wantagh Parkway in Wantagh, at 11:20 p.m.
The speed limit on the Southern State is 55 mph.
Police said Joyce R. Browning, 24, was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, and said she also was issued “numerous” summonses for vehicle and traffic law violations. None of the children were hurt. Police did not disclosed if those children were Browning’s — and did not immediately say if they were released to relatives.
Browning was held for arraignment. Arraignment details also were not immediately available.
