The district proposes a $90,051,217 budget for 2017-18, a 3.23 percent increase from the current $87,237,217. The tax levy would increase 2.81 percent, from $53,527,217 to $55,031,337.

This increase is equal to the district’s tax-cap limit, so a simple majority is required to approve the budget.

School taxes on an average single-family home would increase by 2.8 percent, from $6,918 to $7,112, before the Star tax credit.

The proposed budget includes average step increases for teachers of 2 percent.
