2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Oysterponds Elementary School.

The district proposes a $5,704,425 budget for 2017-18, a 0.43 percent increase from the current $5,680,052. The tax levy would increase by 0.48 percent, from $5,114,056 to $5,138,562.

This increase is below the district’s tax-cap limit of 2.01 percent, so a simple majority vote will be required to approve the budget.

School taxes on the average single-family home would rise by 0.48 percent, from $2,258 to $2,269.

The proposed school budget includes a 1.25 percent contract salary increase and a 1.25 percent step increase for teachers.
