7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at William Floyd High School.

The district proposes a $236,326,899 budget for 2017-18, a 3.3 percent increase from the current $228,787,837. The tax levy would increase by 1.74 percent, from $96,976,749 to $98,660,190. This increase is equal to the district’s tax-cap limit, so a simple majority vote will be required to approve the budget. School taxes on the average single-family house would increase 1.74 percent, from $5,886.62 to $5,988.81.

The proposed budget includes a 2.36 percent contractual salary increase for teachers.

The proposed budget also includes $2.7 million to fund music and career education, student clubs and sports.
