Reports from county or village police, March 7-13.


The manager of Chicken Holiday reported a burglary on March 13. The rear door had been pried open, and $100 was taken out of each register as well as all the cash from the lockbox.

A 1996 Honda Civic was stolen from in front of a New York Avenue residence March 11.


A PlayStation 3 and six games were stolen from a residence on Parkway Drive on March 9.

Jewelry was stolen March 11 from a residence on Keller Avenue.

A man armed with a hunting knife robbed a pedestrian at the corner of Hempstead Turnpike and Clement Avenue March 11. The victim's cell phone, book bag and wallet containing $83 were stolen.


Three unknown armed men robbed a pedestrian on Union Avenue March 12. Two cell phones and $88 were stolen.

North Valley Stream

Jewelry and 19 silver dollars were stolen from a residence on Balfour Street on March 10.


Money, cigarettes and phone cards were stolen from Delmy's Deli on Nassau Road on March 9.

A boiler was discovered stolen March 9 from a residence on Howard Avenue.


A 1999 Honda on Locust Avenue was stolen March 13.

A laptop computer and jewelry were stolen from a residence on Compass Street on March 12.

A 2000 Acura was stolen March 13 from a driveway on Maple Avenue.

Valley Stream

A GPS unit, an iPod and a purse were stolen March 13 from a vehicle parked in the Toys R Us lot on West Sunrise Highway.

West Hempstead

Jewelry was stolen from a residence on Woodfield Road March 12.



A burglary was discovered March 8 at Artie & Ken's Auto Repair on Ireland Place. Tools, credit cards and cash were stolen. Robbers entered the business by smashing a rear window.


Money was stolen from a residence on Newbridge Road on March 13.

East Meadow

Three paintings were discovered stolen from a residence on Prospect Avenue March 12.

Glen Cove

A man, 40, was arrested on Midwood Place March 12 and charged with criminal mischief and criminal contempt.

A 17-year-old male was arrested on Brewster Street March 11 on a family court warrant and additional city ordinance warrants.


A GPS unit was stolen from a vehicle on Georgia Street on March 11.

A GPS unit was discovered stolen March 11 from a vehicle on Washington Street.

Three birth certificates were discovered stolen from a Miller Circle residence March 11.

Tropical fish were stolen from a location on James Street on March 12.


Jewelry, a laptop and cash were stolen March 10 from a South Marginal Road residence.

An automobile on Duffy Avenue was discovered stolen March 10.

Laurel Hollow

A street sign and mailboxes on Elizabeth Drive were discovered damaged March 11.

Locust Valley

A pocketbook and cash were stolen from a vehicle parked on North Street on March 9.

A Cocks Lane residence was burglarized March 12 and jewelry was stolen.


A Flushing woman, 49, was arrested on Grand Avenue March 8 and charged with prostitution after she allegedly offered sex to undercover detectives.

Massapequa Park

On March 8 a Grand Boulevard female resident discovered an intruder in her home after investigating noises she heard. She observed the unknown young male suspect enter her living room through a front window. She yelled, and he jumped out the window, fleeing the scene on foot.


Cash was stolen March 8 from a vending machine at an East Bethpage Road location.


Cash was discovered stolen March 11 from a register at The Healthy Eatery on Jericho Turnpike.

A window on a vehicle parked on Andover Drive was damaged March 12.


A vending machine at Executive Inn at Woodbury on Jericho Turnpike was discovered damaged and with cash stolen March 11.
