ACTIONS

At its Nov. 5 meeting, the town board:

Authorized the filing and execution of an application with the Federal Transit Administration for financial capital assistance for the Huntington Area Rapid Transit System.

Authorized the supervisor to execute an amendment to the agreement with Eschbacher VHB, Engineering, Surveying and Landscape Architecture, P.C. for Wolf Hill Road traffic safety study.

Authorized the supervisor to apply for and receive funding from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for the cleanup of 1345

New York Avenue, Huntington Station.

Authorized the supervisor to execute contracts for the provision of professional ice skating instruction at the Dix Hills ice rink.

Authorized the supervisor to enter into an intermunicipal agreement for transportation and disposal of ash from the Huntington Resource Recovery Facility.

Authorized the supervisor to execute releases of the Platte River Insurance Co. for bond issued on behalf of Island Recycling Solutions for collecting, transportation and disposal of residential solid waste, yard waste and recyclables in the Town of Huntington Refuse District re: contract bid areas 4, 7, 8.

Authorized the supervisor to execute releases of the Platte River Insurance Co. for bond issued on behalf of Island Environmental Group, LLC, for collecting,

transportation and disposal of residential solid waste, yard waste and recyclables in the Town of Huntington Refuse District re: contract bid areas 5, 6, 9, 13 and 14.

Authorized the supervisor to execute an extension to the requirements contract with Soundview Construction Corp. / Island Nursery for tree planting townwide.

Authorized the supervisor to execute an extension to the contract with Looks Great Services, Inc., for lawn and landscape maintenance for the Highway Department.
