Islip-Brookhaven police report

Reports from county or village police, June 27-July 3


All four tires of a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse on Fairview Avenue were slashed, the side-view mirror shattered and profanities scratched on the vehicle June 27.


The windows of a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder parked on Karshick Street were discovered broken, and the doors of the vehicle dented June 27.


A 37-year-old man from Jamaica, Queens, was arrested June 29 at the Pathmark store on Wicks Road and charged with grand larceny for stealing over-the-counter medication.


Cash and keys were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked at a residence on Springmeadow Drive June 28.

Islip Terrace

Hanging baskets of flowers were reported stolen June 29 from a residence on Islip Boulevard.


A residential mail box on Lakeside Drive was discovered stolen June 27. The box was ripped off its post.


A flower pot was discovered ripped from a wall mount at the Rambling Rose Florist on West Main Street on June 28.

West Islip

A catalytic converter was stolen from a vehicle on Montauk Highway on June 27.



A 2001 Saturn parked in the McDonald's restaurant lot on Route 25 was reported stolen June 29.

Deer Park

A green 2004 Chevy Trail Blazer was stolen from the parking lot at the Tanger Outlets at The Arches on June 28.

East Farmingdale

Assorted credit cards and personal papers were stolen from a locker at the LA Fitness gym on Broadhollow Road on June 29.


Graffiti was discovered June 28 on the walls near the softball field at Charles Street and North Alleghany Avenue.

North Babylon

Outdoor furniture and garbage cans were turned over at a residential yard on Dollard Drive June 29.


A man told police that he was robbed June 27 of his watch, ring and cash at knifepoint by two men on Hospital Road.
