The passenger-side window of a 2004 Ford parked on Josselson Avenue was smashed Jan. 18. A GPS unit and a purse containing cash and credit cards was stolen from the vehicle.

East Islip

Scrap metal was stolen from containers located at Ray the Plumber on Sunrise Highway Jan. 17.


A pocketbook containing cash and credit cards was stolen at the Pathmark supermarket on Sunrise Highway Jan. 19.


On Jan. 20, a Central Islip man, 31, accused of stealing grocery items was arrested at the Stop and Shop supermarket on Route 454 and charged with petty larceny.

A purse containing credit cards was stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the parking lot of Dave & Buster's on Veterans Memorial Highway Jan. 23.

Lake Grove

On Jan. 18, a 17-year-old male accused of stealing a wallet at Sears in the Smith Haven Mall was arrested and charged with petty larceny.

Lake Ronkonkoma

Down spouts were discovered stolen from gutters at K.A.M. Maintenance Corp. on Hawkins Avenue Jan. 18.


A yellow Go Kart was stolen from the rear yard of a Farmadie Drive residence Jan. 21.


A mailbox was discovered damaged Jan. 17 at a house on Marlene Drive.



A CamelBak hydration pack containing items including a wallet was stolen from Southbay Sportsplex on Grumman Boulevard Jan. 19.


Twenty gallons of diesel fuel was stolen from a Caterpillar construction vehicle at a Plant Avenue location Jan. 19.


Hunters were reported on Timothy Lane Jan. 22.
