At its Jan. 6 meeting, the Islip Zoning Board of Appeals:

Brentwood: Granted Hugo Morales permission to establish

an accessory apartment, for three years, north side of MacArthur Avenue, east of McNair Street.

Brentwood: Denied Juan Martinez permission to retain a one-story addition and a patio with insufficient side-yard setback, east side of Hilltop Drive, north of Sparrow Place.

Central Islip: Granted Moris Escobar, Mario Escobar and Mayra L. Garcia permission to establish an accessory apartment, for three years, south side of Plum Street, east of Ferndale Boulevard.

Holbrook: Granted Dellafranca & Giordano Properties, LLC permission to build a second ground sign in violation of Islip Town sign ordinance, northwest corner of Furrows and Patchogue Holbrook roads.
