At its Nov. 17 meeting, the Islip Zoning Board of Appeals:

Bay Shore: Granted John B. Russell Jr. and Barbara Drechsel Russell permission to retain a second-story addition and deck with insufficient side yard, west side of Potter Boulevard, north of Chenango Drive.

Islip Terrace: Granted John A. and Marianne Flanagan permission to use dwelling for a two-family, for three years, family use only, north side of Oceanside Street, east of Montauk Avenue.

At its Dec. 9 meeting, the Islip Zoning Board of Appeals:

Bay Shore: Granted NGA T.N. Ho permission to retain a one-story addition with insufficient side yard, west side of Heckscher Avenue, north of Spur Drive North.

Bay Shore: Granted Christopher T. and Michele Struble permission to retain a shed with insufficient side yard, building separation and distance behind front line of dwelling, west side of Lombardy Boulevard, south of Garden Place.

Central Islip: Granted Jasvir Singh Gakhal permission, with specific condition, to retain a one-story addition and detached structure with insufficient side and rear yards, east side of Islip Avenue, south of Suffolk Avenue.

Islip: Granted Leola N. Aiello permission to build a roofed-over porch with insufficient front yard, west side of Union Avenue, north of Maple Street.
