The victim of a fatal shooting earlier this week in Freeport was identified by police Friday as 35-year-old Jonathan Isaac, a resident of the village.

Police responded to a call about the shooting at a home on Frederick Avenue shortly before noon Tuesday and found Isaac and another man shot.

The second man, identified only as a 40-year-old resident of the home, remains hospitalized in unknown condition, police said Friday in a news release.

Isaac was pronounced dead shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday.

No arrests have been made in the shooting.

“This is not a random act of violence,” Nassau Police Det. Capt. John Azzata said on the day of the double shooting. “We believe they were targeted.”

Detectives urge anyone with information about the crime to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-8477. All call will be kept confidential
