LAUREL / Fourth arrest in abduction

A fourth person has been arrested in the abduction of a Mattituck man in a botched attempt to get back a stolen all-terrain vehicle, Southold Town police said Wednesday.

Anthony Infantolino, 18, was recently arraigned on second-degree robbery, second-degree unlawful imprisonment and third-degree assault in Southold Town Justice Court, police said Wednesday.

Authorities charge that he and three others abducted an 18-year-old Mattituck man from the Empire Gas Station on Route 25 in Laurel at about 1 p.m. on Sept. 1. The four believed he had stolen an ATV from them, police said.

The victim was taken to various places, beaten up by a fifth suspect and released in Riverhead, police said, with two black eyes and bruises.

The other suspects were Elizabeth Lingerfelt-Bucalo, 53, of Jamesport; her son, Conor Lingerfelt, 17, of Jamesport; and Philip Trentacoste, 18, of Aquebogue.


HUNTINGTON STATION / Charged in fatal hit-run

A Huntington Station man was arrested Wednesday and charged with fleeing the scene of a hit-and-run accident that left a pedestrian dead Jan. 1, Suffolk police said.

Cesar Gudiel, 46, of Huntington Station, was killed in the 7:35 p.m. crash on New York Avenue at East 21st Street in Huntington Station, police said.

William Koziatek, 45, of 44 E. 17th St., was arrested by Second Squad detectives, police said. He pleaded not guilty to leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle crash, a felony, at his arraignment Wednesday in First District Court in Central Islip. His bail was set at $150,000 cash.
