Nassau and Suffolk anniversaries, Dec. 29:

65thRHODA AND MARVIN (MARTY) NEWMANof North Babylon were wed Dec. 18, 1948. They celebrated with family at a luncheon at the Wantagh Inn. Marty served in the Coast Guard during World War II. He is the former owner of Jaymar Automotive in Bethpage. Rhoda retired as a secretary at North Babylon High School. They now spend their retirement volunteering with various organizations. They have three sons and nine grandchildren.

50thMARIE AND HENRY SERINO of Massapequa Park were wed Nov. 23, 1963. They celebrated with family and friends at a dinner at Sergio's in Massapequa, followed by a celebration at their home. Henry retired as citywide chief inspector for New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development after 35 years. They have three daughters and six grandchildren.

50thPHYLLIS AND BOB LAROSA of Massapequa were wed Oct. 19, 1963, at St. Sylvester's R.C. Church in Brooklyn. They celebrated with a week in London, two weeks at their time share in Arizona and a week in Las Vegas. They also celebrated with family at a dinner at the Wantagh Inn. Phyllis is a retired dental assistant who volunteers at St. Joseph Hospital in Bethpage. Bob is an Army veteran and a retired computer programmer. They have three children and two teenage granddaughters.

50thJOANN AND NICK RADESCAof West Babylon were wed Nov. 16, 1963, at St. Rita's Church in Brooklyn. They celebrated with family and friends at the Bergen Point Country Club. A cruise with family is planned for the summer. JoAnn is a retired teacher and volunteers as a reading specialist with the Copiague school district. Nick is a retired CPA and volunteers with SeniorNet in Huntington. They have two sons and six grandchildren.

50thPATRICIA AND OTTO SCHINDLARof Stony Brook were wed Nov. 16, 1963, in St. Kevin R.C. Church in Flushing, Queens. They celebrated with their four children and their spouses, 11 grandchildren and other family and friends at La Famiglia in Smithtown. They renewed vows at Sts. Philip and James Church in St. James. The celebration continued with a European cruise. Otto retired from the Nassau County Police Department. Pat retired from a secretarial position.

40thELLEN AND RICHARD LEVOW of Bellmore were wed Dec. 23, 1973. They celebrated with a trip to Cove Haven in the Poconos. They were college sweethearts and are now both retired from the Social Security Administration. They have one child.
