Jack is a U.S. Navy veteran who survived the sinking of the USS Brownson (DD-518) on Dec. 26, 1943, in the South Pacific. He is a retired plumber. Mary is a retired library clerk. They have five children, 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.


SKERISof Remsenburg, formerly of Lynbrook, were wed Aug. 10, 1958, at Grace Lutheran Church in Malverne. A cross-country trip is planned. Carl retired from Guy Pratt Inc. in Holtsville as a construction supervisor. Marge is a retired hairdresser. They have five children and eight grandchildren.

50thTHERESA AND MICHAEL NASTRI of North Massapequa were wed July 13, 1963, in Brooklyn. They renewed vows at Maria Regina Church in Seaford, then celebrated with family and friends at the North Ritz Club. Mike is a retired math teacher from East Meadow, a wrestling and lacrosse official in Nassau County, and a ticket-taker at Nassau Coliseum. Theresa is a homemaker. They have three married daughters and seven grandchildren, with another expected in November.

GOLDSTEIN, longtime residents of East Meadow, were wed Sept. 2, 1973. They celebrated with a family trip to Florida. They have two children and one granddaughter.
